James Bunch

Head Pastor

James is a passionate expository teacher with a desire to help people understand the truth of God’s Word and see how it speaks into everyday life. His path to ministry has taken him through a variety of experiences, including serving his country in the Armed Forces and working in real estate before God ultimately called him into pastoral ministry. Before coming to Kentucky, James and his family served among the homeless community in Denver, Colorado, an experience that helped deepen their passion for taking the Gospel beyond the walls of the church and meeting people where they are.

James is the second generation of his family to pastor MPF. The church God led his father to plant is the same church God would later call James to help revitalize. Today, he serves alongside his wife, Whitney, and their children, Alivia and Gibson. Together, their family has a deep love for the Gospel, a heart for the hungry and homeless, and a genuine desire to see God transform lives throughout Monticello and beyond.

James continues to grow as both a pastor and student of Scripture and is currently studying at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Whether he is preaching verse by verse, serving someone in need, or simply sitting across the table from a member of the community, James wants people to encounter the truth and grace of Jesus Christ.

Youth Pastor

Braden Fulton

youth pastor

Braden has served in student ministry for the past three years and has a deep passion for reaching the next generation with the Gospel. His desire is to see students go beyond simply raising a hand or praying a prayer and come to truly understand the Gospel, grow as disciples, and live lives completely surrendered to Jesus.

God has used Braden in a tremendous way to connect with and reach students throughout Wayne County. His genuine love for teenagers, giftedness as a musician, and incredible sense of humor allow him to connect with students while continually pointing them toward Christ. Braden also has a heart for missions and helping students see that following Jesus means taking the Gospel beyond themselves and into their schools, communities, and the world.

Outside of student ministry, Braden is currently enjoying an exciting season of life. He is recently engaged and, when he isn't hanging out with students or making music, you can probably find him somewhere in the middle of planning a wedding.
